Hey there.This is a post to help me decide where to buy(preorder) gwfactions collectors edition from.

Please answer the following questions

1: Did you order CE or Standard?
2:Are you getting the Europe or American package?
3:Where did you pre-order from?(Link would be nice)
4:Have you recieved your pre-order key for access on the 27th?(If so, did you get it via postal mail or email?)

Non related question(general pre-order Q)

Is the early access key different to the actual release key, as in does the early access key grant your pre-order items, and access on the 27th, and does the release key give you access to the game?(and if you got CE, your special emote)?

Thanks for taking the time to read/answer the questions.Any replies would be great, as i'm struggling to get my head clear on where to pre-order from.

I've got your #5, Ashleigh:

The preorder pack has a group of keys ... one of them is the "preorder" key, which yields the items, and is the "Early Access" key that will allow you to log in one day early, on the 27th.

To play on the 28th and on: you need the key from the actual, retail purchased game (which will obviously be included on the inside cover of the CD-case)

One thing to note: wherever you happen to preorder from, make sure you get the preorder pack with the order (else you're technically not "preordering" just "reserving a copy when it comes out") ... the first will get you items/early access, the other will get you nothing apart from the game itself.

is where i bought last years preorder
i also bought the game with the 2 separate items coming promptly.

the preorder arrived in 5 days from placing the order.

the retail arrived on the 26th even though it was not needed til the end of the 28th.

i chose 2nd day service for 2 dollars more than regular for the delivery.

also ordered the CE from them and got it as soon as it was out.

so far on Factions i ordered the preorder package which arrived 4 days before the event of24 march.

have CE on 2nd day game preorder as well.

your luck may vary but as you can see my luck with them has been stellar

1) Neither. I will pick up a copy when it comes out.
2) American
3) Amazon.com (got here in 3 days) - Only ordered the preorder package, not the entire game.
4) Yes, I received it in plenty of time. By Postal Service

5) The guy 2 above me is actually off.

You get FOUR KEYS with your preorder.

Factions Key:
*Gives you access to the event (which is over)
*Gives you the items
* and gives you the 24 hours.

This is all lumped into ONE KEY.

Second key is a FRIEND KEY:
* Gives a friend acess to the event (which is over)

Third: GUILD WARS DEMO KEY:
*Gives 10 hour demo of chapter 1

Forth is an AUTO ASSUALT BETA KEY:
* Gives you access to the final Beta Weekends of Auto Assualt game
* And once its out gives you a 14 day trial on AUto ASsualt.

Hm,
Well for 1, I can get either one, but I am choosing the Collectors Edition when I claim my copy from Best Buy
2, I am in America
3, I preordered in the way of purchasing the pre-sale edition of GW - I went out to Best Buy and bought it for $10. But this is the copy: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg...=UTF8&v=glance Best Buy doesn't have it on the site (or it wouldn't show when I searched)
4, It has a cd key little booklet inside that had my pre-order cdkey for my 2 collectors items and my 24-hour head start access. Added the key to my account. (I drove to the store)

regards to #5:
Yes the pre-sale key is on its own, just like if you did not have GW:P you would have access to the FPE last weekend without any invites with the pre-sale, the 2 items are included, and you are granted access to the servers as if you had factions offical cdkey the full 24 hours BEFORE its released.

And like Gaile posted somewhere, it ends at midnight PST or something, and you will have to go out and get your offical copy for the cd key to get back to playing Factions.

The Collectors Edition plays no role right now, much like for me, I can decide against picking it up and get the Standard Edition instead. But for myself, I want the 2 emotes and the other stuff that comes with the Collectors, so thats what I will be picking up at Best Buy on the 28th.

I pre ordered mine from EBGames.....
That was a month ago. The manager told me that I missed out
on getting the pre order key. They only received 4. And that's all they
gonna get. Which means on the release date Im only getting the CE
version. I went into Best Buy 2day and they and a whole stack of
pre order keys for $10 bucks. I was like holy shit. EBGames sux.
